River Adventure

Open canoes provide a brilliant platform for group trips and expeditions so the staff team is on a mission this year to discover some new rivers for future adventures. Here are a few snaps from a stunning day on the Dochart last week. We regularly use the Tay and Spey but any other suggestions are welcome.

Hello Ali

You may well have a copy already, but I tend to use the "Scottish Canoe Touring" guide by the SCA ISBN 0-9547061-3-7.

The River Don near is canoeable in an open boat - there is the odd obstacle requiring portage and it's better if the water levels are higher. I've only done the part arounf Monymusk and Kemnay.
